The problem with sewer backups
Most of the sewage that enters the sewage system is organic, such as food scraps, plastic, wipes, and hair, and is classified as organic waste.
The moisture content of the sewage is high, ranging from 85 to 90 percent, and it causes severe odors during the treatment process, causing complaints.
The final treatment of such waste is mainly incineration and landfill, but the high moisture content reduces the calorific value of incineration, causing the cost of treatment to rise.
Landfills are also encouraged to remove moisture as much as possible, but it causes problems such as odor.
